Housing Placement Case Manager (Housing Navigation)

Pine Street Inn is hiring a full-time Housing Placement Case Manager (Housing Navigation) in South Boston, Suffolk County, to help individuals experiencing homelessness move from crisis into stable, permanent housing.

About the Role

As a Housing Placement Case Manager with Pine Street Inn, you will guide guests through every step of the housing navigation process — from identifying suitable options to securing and sustaining a place to call home. This on-site position in South Boston follows a compressed four-day work week of four 10-hour shifts, scheduled either Monday through Thursday or Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The regular day off falls on Thursday or Friday, and selected candidates may share their preferred day once an offer is made, subject to program and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with guests to develop individualized housing plans and clear goals toward permanent placement.
• Navigate housing applications, documentation, and referrals to connect clients with available units and resources.
• Coordinate with landlords, housing programs, and community partners to remove barriers to placement.
• Provide ongoing case management, advocacy, and follow-up to support long-term housing stability.
• Maintain accurate, timely records of client progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in case management, housing navigation, social services, or a closely related field.
• Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• A commitment to serving people experiencing homelessness with dignity and respect.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across a 10-hour daily shift.

Compensation

This full-time role is scheduled for 40 hours per week and pays $23.48 to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience.
