Commonwealth Hotels is hiring a full-time Hotel Maintenance Technician (Hotel Engineer) to keep the Hilton Garden Inn by Hilton Panama City running smoothly for every guest and team member. About the Role
As a Hotel Maintenance Technician with Commonwealth Hotels, you will help maintain a welcoming, well-functioning property located in the heart of Panama City's business district. This is a full-time, on-site position (not remote) focused on protecting guest comfort, safety, and the overall condition of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
- Troubleshoot and service basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize disruption to guests and staff.
- Help keep the property compliant with safety standards and brand expectations.
- Coordinate with hotel departments and outside vendors when specialized work is required.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in hotel maintenance, facilities, or general building engineering is preferred.
- Working knowledge of common repair trades such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC fundamentals.
- Strong attention to detail with a guest-first, service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work on-site, stand or move for extended periods, and handle physical tasks safely.
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy hospitality setting.
