About the Role
As the High School Intervention Specialist at Carroll County Schools, you will partner directly with classroom educators to strengthen instruction where it matters most. Reporting to the Director of Teaching and Learning and based at the County Office, this position centers on coaching teachers toward proven instructional strategies, with the ultimate aim of raising student achievement. This is an on-site role located in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and mentor high school teachers as they adopt and refine effective instructional practices.
- Coach educators one-on-one and in groups to build their instructional capacity over time.
- Deliver training and professional learning focused on classroom strategies that improve outcomes.
- Keep student achievement at the heart of every coaching and support effort.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Teaching and Learning to align instructional goals district-wide.
Qualifications
- A background in high school teaching with a strong grasp of effective instructional methods.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and train fellow educators.
- A genuine commitment to improving student achievement through teacher development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills suited to a school-based, team environment.
