Responsibilities Architect and implement performance-critical modules for AI training and inference pipelines used by teams at Nvidia. Profile large-scale models, isolate bottlenecks in compute, memory, or communication, and introduce targeted optimizations. Develop reusable kernels, libraries, and automation scripts that accelerate repeated high-performance AI workloads. Partner with research and platform engineers to validate that gains remain stable under production load and across multiple configurations. Benchmark candidate solutions against industry baselines and document clear trade-offs in speed, accuracy, and resource use. Contribute design reviews and technical mentoring that raise collective expertise in high-performance artificial intelligence practices. What We're Looking For Proven expertise with parallel programming models, low-level performance analysis, and modern AI frameworks. Strong fluency in C++ and Python together with experience applying optimization toolchains and profilers. Solid grasp of machine-learning algorithms and the hardware-level factors that govern their execution cost. Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex system behavior and convert findings into measurable speed-ups. Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline plus relevant industry experience building AI systems.
