Day-to-Day Responsibilities Assist service users with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and toileting while preserving dignity and independence. Support safe mobility, transfers and positioning, including use of any mobility aids required. Help prepare and serve meals, encourage nutrition and hydration, and assist with eating where needed. Prompt medication, monitor general wellbeing and promptly report any changes in condition to senior colleagues. Carry out light domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning and tidying living areas to maintain a comfortable environment. Provide companionship and emotional support, encouraging social engagement and daily living activities. Keep accurate written or electronic records of care delivered and any observations made during each shift. Work flexibly across day, night, weekday and weekend rotas according to agreed availability. What We're Looking For Previous hands-on experience as a carer or Healthcare Assistant in a similar setting. Genuine compassion, patience and a strong sense of responsibility toward the people you support. Reliable communication skills, both face-to-face and when recording or passing on information. Ability to follow care plans accurately and work safely as part of a team or alone when required. Willingness to cover a mix of shifts on days, nights, weekdays and weekends in the Wirral, Cheshire area. A positive, person-centred attitude that matches MCS Healthcare’s focus on high-quality care.
