We are hiring a founding Head of Marketing to build and lead our marketing department from the ground up. You will lead a small offshore team, stand up the systems and processes that support 50+ Mortgage Loan Officers (MLOs), and own the brand, content, and automation that drives our growth. This is a build role for a hands-on leader who can both set strategy and execute alongside the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy and roadmap: Quarterly marketing planning, KPI tracking, and weekly reporting to US leadership.
- Team leadership: Manage and develop two Marketing Coordinators. Run weekly standups, set priorities, remove blockers, conduct performance reviews.
- Brand stewardship: Maintain the company’s voice, visual identity, and quality bar across every asset. Approve all work before MLO or external delivery.
- HubSpot ownership: Operate and continuously improve HubSpot for marketing automation, drip campaigns, MLO opt-in controls, and reporting.
- Compliance workflow: Partner with the compliance consulting firm on every flyer, email, and campaign. Ensure all materials meet TRID, RESPA, UDAAP, and state-level requirements.
- MLO satisfaction: Run the marketing intake process, hold the team to a 48-hour SLA, and gather feedback from the MLO advisory group monthly.
- Content calendar: Own the rolling 90-day content calendar covering rate flyers, market updates, social content, realtor materials, and seasonal campaigns.
- Process documentation: Maintain the team’s playbook in Waybook including request workflows, brand guidelines, and Claude prompt templates.
- Reporting: Monthly marketing performance reports including SLA compliance, drip metrics, MLO adoption, and asset production volume.
- Quarterly planning: Build subsequent quarterly plans and budget requests from performance data
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 5+ years of marketing experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or team management role.
- Direct hands-on HubSpot experience including workflows, drip campaigns, list management, and reporting. HubSpot certification preferred.
- Experience in mortgage, fintech, real estate, financial services, or another regulated industry.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Demonstrated ability to build process from scratch — not just execute someone else’s playbook.
- Comfort with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) as a daily part of your workflow.
- Strong project management skills with experience juggling multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Familiarity with US mortgage regulations (TRID, RESPA, UDAAP) or proven ability to ramp on regulatory frameworks quickly.
- Canva for Teams experience including brand kit and template lockdown.
- Experience working with offshore/distributed teams or US-based clients.
