What You'll Do Develop and implement comprehensive cross country training programs tailored to athlete skill levels and competitive goals Coach and mentor student athletes in running technique, conditioning, nutrition, and mental resilience Organize team activities, competitions, and travel logistics for meets and championships Maintain equipment, manage budgets within allocated stipend, and ensure compliance with athletics department policies Communicate regularly with parents, athletics administration, and school leadership Model professionalism, sportsmanship, and commitment to student athlete welfare What We're Looking For Minimum age requirement of 21 years Demonstrated knowledge of cross country coaching, training methodology, and competitive practices Strong communication and mentoring skills with young athletes Ability to motivate diverse groups and build inclusive team culture Valid driver's license and ability to travel for competitions and events Commitment to student athlete safety and educational mission Experience in athletics is valued; candidates with less experience demonstrating strong coaching potential will be considered About Washington County Public Schools Washington County Public Schools serves students throughout the region, building athletic programs that emphasize academic success, personal development, and competitive achievement.
