About the Role
As a Grounds Equipment Mechanic with the City of Largo, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and reliability of the specialized machinery used to maintain Largo Golf Course. Working on-site in the United States, you'll ensure mowers, utility vehicles, and turf equipment stay in safe, dependable working order so grounds crews can deliver an exceptional course experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and turf machinery.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Sharpen, adjust, and calibrate cutting units to maintain quality turf conditions.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on small engines and utility vehicles.
- Keep accurate service records and manage parts, tools, and supplies.
- Follow safety standards and support a clean, organized shop environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience repairing and maintaining grounds, turf, or small-engine equipment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic methods.
- Ability to use shop tools, diagnostic instruments, and follow technical manuals.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Availability for a full-time, on-site schedule at Largo Golf Course.
