Grounds Assistant

Join Lutheran Life Villages as a full-time Grounds Assistant and help maintain the beautiful 40-acre campus in Diplomat Plaza, Allen County. You'll play a key role in keeping our Fort Wayne-area senior community's outdoor spaces clean, attractive, and welcoming for residents and guests.

About the Role

As a Grounds Assistant with Lutheran Life Villages, you'll be part of our maintenance team responsible for the daily upkeep of our campus. Your work directly contributes to creating a clean, attractive, and safe outdoor environment for our residents.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine lawn care, landscaping, and grounds maintenance
• Assist with seasonal planting, pruning, mulching, and landscape improvements
• Maintain walkways, pathways, and outdoor common areas
• Operate and maintain grounds equipment according to safety protocols
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team on larger projects
• Ensure grounds meet Lutheran Life Villages' quality standards

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or outdoor property care
• Physical ability to perform outdoor manual work in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Reliable attendance and commitment to a full-time schedule
• Willingness to take on varied seasonal tasks as needed
