Golf Course Mechanic

About the Role

As a Golf Course Mechanic with Invited, you are the technical backbone of the agronomy team. You will service, diagnose, and repair the fleet of mowers, utility vehicles, and turf equipment that keep the course in pristine condition season after season. This is a hands-on, full-time position based entirely on-site in Rancho Santa Fe.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair gas, diesel, and electric turf equipment, including reel and rotary mowers.
• Sharpen, grind, and set reels and bedknives to maintain a consistent quality of cut.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory, and a clean, organized shop.
• Partner with the superintendent and grounds crew to keep the course ready for daily play.
• Follow all safety procedures and proper handling protocols for tools, fuels, and lubricants.

Qualifications

• Proven experience repairing and maintaining small engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, ideally on golf or turf equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose issues independently.
• Familiarity with reel grinding and mower setup is a plus.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working early hours in an outdoor club setting.
• Able to work full-time on-site in Rancho Santa Fe, San Diego County.
