Global Trade Compliance Advisor

ExxonMobil is seeking a detail-driven Global Trade Compliance Advisor in Spring, Harris County, to help safeguard cross-border operations and keep our international business aligned with evolving trade laws and sanctions.

About the Role

As a full-time Global Trade Compliance Advisor based in Spring, Harris County, you will serve as a trusted subject-matter resource on import, export, and trade regulatory matters across ExxonMobil's global businesses. This on-site position supports compliant, efficient movement of goods, technology, and services while helping the organization manage regulatory risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise business teams on import and export controls, classifications, licensing, and sanctions requirements.
• Interpret international trade regulations and translate them into practical, day-to-day guidance.
• Support reviews, screenings, and recordkeeping to maintain audit-ready trade compliance.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify, assess, and reduce trade-related risk.
• Help develop and refine compliance procedures, training, and controls.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of global trade compliance, customs, and export/import regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail when applying complex rules.
• Clear written and verbal communication to advise diverse teams.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a large, fast-moving global organization.
• Willingness to work on-site in Spring, Harris County (this role is not remote).
