Global Product Manager – Polypropylene (PP) Compounds

Based anywhere within the European Union| Remote Working | Extensive Travel

On behalf of our client, a leading international supplier of polymer raw materials and performance plastics, we are seeking a Regional Product Manager – Polypropylene (PP) Compounds to drive the growth and development of a strategically important PP compounds portfolio across Europe.

This is a high-impact commercial leadership role with full responsibility for a defined range of polypropylene compounds, supporting key industries including automotive, appliances, consumer goods, packaging, construction, and industrial applications.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical and commercial expertise in polypropylene compounds with a proven ability to develop markets, manage supplier relationships, and deliver sustainable profitable growth across multiple European territories.

Key Responsibilities

As the commercial owner of the Polypropylene (PP) Compounds portfolio, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing the European growth strategy for polypropylene compounds
  • Driving revenue growth, profitability, pricing strategy, and demand forecasting
  • Managing strategic relationships with PP compound manufacturers and key supply partners
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across targeted industries and market segments
  • Supporting customers with material selection and application-focused solutions
  • Leading key account development with OEMs, converters, moulders, and Tier suppliers
  • Monitoring market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within the polypropylene compounds sector
  • Collaborating closely with regional sales teams to expand market share and strengthen customer relationships
  • Translating market intelligence into actionable portfolio, supplier, and commercial strategies

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 5 years of experience within polypropylene compounds, engineering plastics, thermoplastics, polymer raw materials, or related markets
  • Strong understanding of PP compound technologies, including mineral-filled, talc-filled, glass fibre reinforced, impact-modified, recycled-content, and specialty polypropylene grades
  • Proven track record in product management, business development, technical sales, or commercial management
  • Experience working with compounders, polymer producers, converters, moulders, OEMs, or Tier suppliers
  • Strong commercial mindset with demonstrated success in delivering growth and profitability
  • Technical qualification in Polymer Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline preferred
  • Experience managing international supplier relationships and commercial negotiations
  • Fluent English; additional European languages are advantageous
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Europe
