Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and refine quantitative trading signals (alphas) grounded in diverse real-world datasets.
- Study financial markets across the globe to surface patterns with genuine predictive value.
- Apply statistical and data-driven methods to test, validate, and strengthen the performance of trading ideas.
- Collaborate with fellow researchers to expand and improve Trexquant's library of alpha strategies.
- Continuously explore new data sources and emerging techniques to sharpen signal quality.
Qualifications
- A strong academic background in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Sharp analytical instincts paired with disciplined, evidence-based problem-solving.
- Comfort working with large datasets and the programming or statistical tools used to analyze them.
- Intellectual curiosity and the drive to excel in a competitive, research-led environment.
- No prior experience in quantitative finance is required, making this an excellent entry point for gifted newcomers.
