About the Role

As a Gas Chromatography Application Engineer at Yokogawa's Sugar Land, Fort Bend County operation, you will apply your technical expertise to deploy, configure, and optimize gas chromatography systems for customers across the energy, (bio)technology, and process industries. This is a hands-on engineering position where analytical precision meets real-world application, helping clients achieve reliable measurement and monitoring outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and commission gas chromatography applications tailored to customer process requirements.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and method development for analytical instrumentation.
• Collaborate with project teams, sales, and customers to translate measurement needs into engineered solutions.
• Support installation, calibration, and ongoing performance validation of chromatography systems.
• Document configurations, methods, and technical findings to ensure consistent, repeatable results.

Qualifications

• Background in chemistry, chemical engineering, instrumentation, or a related technical discipline.
• Practical experience with gas chromatography or analytical process measurement systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex instrumentation issues.
• Effective communication skills for working directly with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work on-site in Sugar Land, Fort Bend County (this is not a remote role).
