About the Role As a Safety Support Associate, you're the trusted on-site presence that helps our interim housing community thrive. You'll proactively monitor facilities and grounds, respond thoughtfully to safety concerns, and build genuine connections with program participants to encourage shared responsibility for maintaining our low-barrier, supportive environment. Your work combines vigilant observation, evidence-based de-escalation, and coordination with case managers and security partners to address challenges before they intensify. Your Responsibilities Monitor the interim housing site and grounds daily, identifying and reporting safety issues or facility concerns to leadership Apply de-escalation and nonviolent crisis intervention techniques to resolve conflicts and support participants during difficult moments Collaborate with onsite case managers and contracted security staff to maintain a secure, stable environment Conduct regular facility rounds and document observations in writing to support program management and decision-making Assist participants with harm reduction services and access to essential supplies in line with our low-barrier model Work as part of a coordinated team to respond to safety and crisis situations using collaborative, respectful approaches What We're Looking For You bring genuine dedication to social change and understanding of vulnerable communities.
