This is a Monday–Friday role on a standard business schedule. What This Role Involves Join a global contract management team supporting one of the pharmaceutical industry's most critical functions. Over the past five years, we have managed contracts for over 750 biotech companies and the 50 largest pharmaceutical manufacturers, coordinating 2,700+ clinical trials spanning more than 100 countries. As a Contract Specialist in this role, you will lead the full contract lifecycle—from drafting and negotiation through final execution and archival. You'll be the trusted point of contact for clinical sites and principal investigators, shepherding agreements through review cycles and resolving disputes that arise during negotiations. Your work directly protects the company's legal standing and financial stability while strengthening relationships with research partners worldwide. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Author, execute, and process contracts and related agreements with clinical research sites and their investigators Cultivate and maintain productive working relationships with assigned clinical sites Negotiate grant budgets and contract conditions within established approval limits, consulting established escalation paths when exceptions are needed Coordinate internal stakeholder review of negotiation items that exceed standard parameters and prepare recommendations Report contract status and milestones to your Site Contract Manager Identify and address legal, regulatory, and financial risks inherent in each agreement Orchestrate follow-up communications on outstanding contractual matters per established procedures Upload finalized agreements to the eTMF system within required timeframes Partner with eTMF quality assurance specialists to resolve system issues and discrepancies Document recurring negotiation patterns to inform revisions to negotiation authority guidelines Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional credential Associate-level candidates: 2 years of experience demonstrating contract administration and negotiation competency Contract Specialist-level candidates: 2–5 years of relevant professional experience; role scope increases with level Sound knowledge of contract law, including how intellectual property, business, and local tax or stamp law shape contract wording Demonstrated competence in investigator grant budget negotiation Working understanding of financial and commercial principles governing service-level agreements Proficient written and spoken English; facility with local languages is…
