Fire Investigator

Alpine Intel, a leader in property insurance intelligence, is hiring a Fire Investigator to join our Sacramento, Sacramento County team. In this part-time role, you will investigate fire and explosion incidents, analyze evidence, and produce intelligence that directly supports insurance claims and risk assessment decisions.

What You'll Do

• Examine fire and explosion scenes to identify origins, causes, and contributing factors
• Document findings through photographs, sketches, and detailed written reports
• Interview witnesses and property owners to gather essential information
• Collect and preserve evidence in compliance with legal and safety protocols
• Analyze patterns and physical evidence to support investigation conclusions
• Collaborate with fire departments, law enforcement, and other agencies as necessary
• Maintain accurate records and deliver reports in a timely manner

What We're Looking For

• Certification as a Fire Investigator or equivalent training and field experience
• Strong understanding of fire behavior, combustion, and explosion mechanics
• Excellent observation skills and attention to detail in complex scenes
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent investigations
• Strong written communication skills for technical and legal documentation
• Sound professional judgment and commitment to ethical investigation practices
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Sacramento County
