Finger Lakes Wrecker Assistant Manager

Maguire Automotive Group is hiring a full-time Finger Lakes Wrecker Assistant Manager in Ithaca, Tompkins County, to help lead and develop our towing and recovery team.

About the Role

As the Finger Lakes Wrecker Assistant Manager, you will support day-to-day operations of our wrecker fleet in Ithaca, coordinating drivers, monitoring performance, and offering hands-on technical guidance. This on-site position is ideal for a dependable leader who enjoys mentoring others and modeling the standards expected of every driver on the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule, organize, and oversee wrecker drivers to keep operations running smoothly.
• Provide technical oversight, coaching, and best-practice training to support driver development.
• Lead by example, demonstrating the professionalism and work ethic expected across the team.
• Maintain accurate yard records and related operational documentation.
• Communicate clearly with drivers and leadership to plan and control daily workflows.
• Take on additional duties as assigned to support the wrecker operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in towing, recovery, automotive operations, or a closely related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to direct a team.
• A solid grasp of safe driving and recovery best practices.
• A reliable, lead-by-example approach to supervising and mentoring drivers.
• Willingness to work on-site in Ithaca, Tompkins County.
