About the Role

As the Field Safety Manager, you will serve as the dedicated safety presence on every field job site, championing a culture where every worker goes home safe. Based in Phoenix, this position puts you at the center of daily operations, where you will translate regulatory requirements into practical, jobsite-ready practices that protect Schuff Steel field crews and everyone who sets foot on our sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal OSHA standards.
• Apply and enforce company safety procedures alongside each client's specific requirements and policies.
• Provide an active, hands-on safety presence on all field job sites rather than managing from a distance.
• Safeguard the well-being of field crew members and all personnel present on the worksite.
• Identify hazards, address unsafe conditions, and promote consistent safe-work habits throughout daily operations.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Experience implementing safety policies on construction or industrial field sites.
• Comfort operating in an on-site, field-based capacity across active job locations.
• Strong communication skills to guide crews, clients, and contractors toward shared safety goals.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach to hazard recognition and compliance.
