This full-time position combines deep embedded systems expertise with customer partnership in a pivotal market: advanced driver assistance and autonomous vehicle perception. You'll work directly with design teams implementing next-generation 77 GHz radar technology, from architecture decisions through deployment and validation. You'll own technical strategy for each engagement, guide architecture and component selection, and shepherd systems from concept through production. This is hands-on engineering with measurable business impact—win designs, accelerate customer timelines, and establish NXP as the trusted technical partner in radar solutions. Your Responsibilities Direct customer technical engagements on 77 GHz radar platform architecture, processor selection, system initialization, and protocol integration. Execute design reviews covering circuit schematics, printed circuit board layouts, and sensor integration strategies. Perform hands-on hardware diagnostics, fault isolation, and root-cause analysis in both on-site and remote settings. Build functional prototypes and proof-of-concept systems using NXP development kits to validate design approaches. Conduct technical education through workshops, webinars, and structured training for customer engineering teams. Organize deliverables, manage project timelines, and coordinate across internal and customer stakeholders. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). Minimum three years of production experience with real-time operating systems running on ARM-based processors. Strong C programming skills for embedded systems development and debugging. Hands-on familiarity with automotive advanced driver assistance (ADAS) concepts, sensor perception, and system architecture. Ability to work independently at customer facilities for extended technical engagements. Experience integrating radar sensors with host microprocessors and supporting software stacks. Proficiency with professional debugging and trace instrumentation (such as Lauterbach or equivalent platforms). Working knowledge of embedded communication protocols including flash boot sequences, MIPI CSI camera interfaces, Ethernet, and DDR memory.
