Events Coordinator

About the Role

As the Events Coordinator at CHURCH OF BETHESDA-BY-THE-SEA, INC., you will plan, organize, and execute the wide range of services, programs, and special occasions that take place across our historic Palm Beach campus. Working on-site, you will help ensure that every event — from worship-related gatherings to parish celebrations and community gatherings — runs smoothly and reflects the warmth and excellence for which our parish is known.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the logistics, scheduling, and setup of parish events and programs from concept through completion
• Partner with clergy, staff, lay ministry, and volunteers to align event details with the needs of the community
• Manage event calendars, room reservations, and use of the campus facilities
• Liaise with vendors, caterers, and service providers as needed
• Oversee on-the-day execution, troubleshooting issues as they arise to keep events on track
• Maintain accurate records, budgets, and follow-up reporting for each event

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event coordination, hospitality, or a closely related field
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects at once
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for working with staff, members, and outside vendors
• Comfort working on-site in Palm Beach, including some evenings and weekends as events require
• A collaborative, service-minded approach that fits a faith-based community environment
