European Financial Controller, Cfgi, United Kingdom Position Summary As European Financial Controller at Cfgi, you will join our internal accounting team and play a pivotal role in our finance function. This full-time position involves overseeing the accounting and controllership for all of Cfgi's European entities, including France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands (with the UK and Ireland managed separately). You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with both US GAAP and local GAAP requirements. This is a hands-on role that demands strong leadership and technical skills. Your Responsibilities Own the end-to-end monthly close process for all European entities, excluding the UK and Ireland managed by the UK Controller. Prepare or review journal entries, account reconciliations, and close procedures for each entity. Maintain US GAAP primary books and statutory/local GAAP books, ensuring they are reconciled and auditable. Manage accounts payable and coordinate monthly client invoicing in each entity. Prepare and monitor country-specific cash and cash flow forecasts. Oversee payroll across all European entities, working closely with the outsourced provider and internal teams supporting the US and Germany. Take a more hands-on approach in smaller countries. Take an active role in bookkeeping for each entity, including month-end accruals and other financial tasks.
