Sungrow-emea is hiring a Full Time ESS Solutions Engineer - Czechia & Slovakia based in Czechia - Prague to lead technical solution development and customer engagement across the Czech and Slovak markets. Position Summary As the ESS Solutions Engineer - Czechia & Slovakia at Sungrow-emea in Czechia - Prague, you will serve as the primary technical expert for energy storage system proposals, system configuration, and post-award support. This Full Time role combines pre-sales engineering with regional market support, ensuring solutions are correctly sized, compliant with local grid codes, and aligned with client requirements throughout Czechia and Slovakia. You will partner closely with sales, project, and product teams while maintaining a strong field presence from the Prague base. Core Duties Analyse customer load profiles, site data and grid connection conditions to design optimal energy storage system architectures for projects in Czechia and Slovakia. Prepare detailed technical proposals, single-line diagrams, equipment schedules and performance simulations for ESS Solutions Engineer - Czechia & Slovakia opportunities. Conduct on-site surveys, commissioning support and technical workshops with clients, EPCs and partners in both markets. Respond to RFIs, resolve technical objections during tender stages and hand over approved designs to delivery teams. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local regulations, utility interconnection rules and the latest ESS product capabilities to keep offerings competitive. Provide training, documentation and continuous technical guidance so that sales and service colleagues can represent solutions accurately. What You Bring Degree in electrical engineering, power systems or a closely related technical discipline. Proven experience designing or deploying energy storage systems, battery energy storage or similar power electronics solutions. Strong command of system sizing tools, load-flow concepts and grid-code compliance typical for Central European markets. Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly, both in written proposals and face-to-face meetings. Fluency in English; working knowledge of Czech or Slovak is a significant advantage for the Czechia & Slovakia coverage. Willingness to travel regularly within Czechia and Slovakia while remaining based in Czechia - Prague.
