N26 is hiring an ESG Analyst in Berlin to join our Sustainability Finance team, where finance, technology, and regulatory compliance converge. About the Role As an ESG Analyst at N26, you will sit within our Sustainability Finance team, turning complex datasets into investor-ready insights and helping embed sustainability across the bank's core processes. You will work hands-on with leading regulatory frameworks — CSRD, the EU Taxonomy, and SFDR — while taking real ownership of our ESG data and contributing directly to annual sustainability reports and investor communications. It's a high-impact opportunity for an ambitious professional ready to help scale N26's ESG strategy. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of ESG data collection, validation, and benchmarking across environmental, social, and governance metrics. Draft ESG disclosures and investor materials, including portions of the annual and sustainability reports. Track evolving regulation (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, SFDR) and evaluate what it means for N26. Help build ESG frameworks, methodologies, and internal policies alongside Legal, Compliance, and Finance. Follow industry trends and peer benchmarks to shape N26's ESG positioning and targets. Support investor relations content where ESG is involved, from earnings calls to investor decks and roadshow preparation. Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, and Product teams to weave ESG thinking into everyday business processes. Qualifications A university degree in Finance, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Economics, or a comparable discipline. 1–2 years in ESG analysis, sustainable finance, or an adjacent area such as investment banking, transaction advisory, or consulting with ESG exposure. Familiarity with ESG reporting standards including GRI, TCFD, SASB, and EU requirements (CSRD, EU Taxonomy). Strong analytical ability, comfortable handling large datasets and building clean models in Excel or Google Sheets. Fluency in both English and German, written and spoken. Excellent writing skills, capable of producing investor-quality documents with clarity and precision. Nice to have: experience in fintech, banking, or regulated financial services; exposure to carbon accounting or climate risk frameworks; familiarity with ESG ratings (MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS); and a CFA ESG Certificate or equivalent.
