About the Role
As an Equipment Yard Associate at James River Equipment Group in Ashland, you will play a hands-on role in maintaining the flow and organization of equipment on the dealership lot. This is a full-time, on-site position suited to someone who takes pride in physical work and thrives in an outdoor, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, stage, and organize equipment inventory throughout the yard in an orderly and accessible manner
- Assist with the movement and preparation of John Deere equipment for display, sale, or customer pickup
- Support service and sales teams by keeping the yard clean, safe, and efficiently arranged
- Perform routine yard maintenance tasks to uphold dealership standards
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical tasks in varying outdoor conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented work ethic
- Basic mechanical awareness or familiarity with large equipment is a plus
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Prior experience in a yard, warehouse, or equipment dealership setting is an advantage but not required
