LPL Solar

LPL Solar is hiring a full-time EPC Solar Electrical Superintendent to lead utility-scale solar construction in Fort Lauderdale, Broward County and across Southeast project sites.

About the Role

As an Electrical Superintendent at LPL Solar, you'll own the field execution of all self-performed electrical scopes on utility-scale solar EPC projects. Reporting directly to the Electrical Project Manager or Project Director, you'll drive quality, safety, and schedule performance from groundbreak through energization — with travel to project sites throughout the Southeast region.

What You'll Do

  • Direct and coordinate field electrical crews, including self-perform labor and subcontractors, across all phases of utility-scale solar construction
  • Oversee installation of DC collection systems, inverters, combiner boxes, medium-voltage cabling, transformers, and associated balance-of-plant electrical infrastructure
  • Interpret construction drawings, one-line diagrams, and specifications to verify work is installed to design intent and applicable codes (NEC, NFPA 70E)
  • Enforce all site safety programs; conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure OSHA compliance across the electrical workforce
  • Partner with the Project Manager on manpower planning, material procurement coordination, and short-interval scheduling to keep electrical scopes on track
  • Perform and document quality control inspections at key milestones; track and resolve punch list items ahead of commissioning
  • Coordinate with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), utility representatives, and third-party inspectors for required electrical inspections and approvals
  • Support commissioning activities and facilitate turnover of completed electrical systems to the owner
  • Maintain accurate daily field reports, production logs, and as-built documentation

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Superintendent or Senior Electrical Foreman on utility-scale solar or comparable large-scale power generation EPC projects
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred; equivalent verifiable field experience considered
  • Deep working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA 29 CFR 1926, and utility interconnection requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-craft crews of 20 or more personnel in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Confident reading and redlining electrical drawings, P&IDs, and grounding plans
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to project leadership and interfacing with owners and inspectors
  • Willingness to travel to Southeast project sites; valid US driver's license required
