Your Responsibilities Act as the primary environmental compliance resource and strategic advisor for the organization Secure and maintain all required environmental permits related to air emissions, stormwater discharge, wastewater management, and hazardous waste handling Execute regular compliance inspections and environmental audits to identify potential issues and implement corrective measures Track evolving regulatory landscapes across California and other western states with active Anduril operations to proactively address new compliance obligations Author and file regulatory documentation and reports with agencies including the EPA, Orange County Sanitation District, and state environmental boards Design and deliver environmental training initiatives focused on regulatory awareness and operational best practices for facility staff Manage and mentor the Environmental Engineer reporting to this role Establish and oversee emergency preparedness systems, including spill prevention plans and stormwater pollution prevention procedures Who We're Looking For You hold a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field, with 8+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, or research and development. Your background includes substantive work with environmental agencies, federal regulators, and local authorities across air quality, water, and waste streams. You demonstrate mastery of federal regulations covering environmental protection and hazardous materials. Your communication skills—both written and verbal—enable effective collaboration with senior leadership, regulatory officials, operations teams, and external partners.
