About the Role
As an Environmental Inspector II at Stantec in Virginia, you will conduct on-site monitoring and documentation to confirm that construction and environmental activities align with permits, regulations, and project specifications. You will work alongside leading environmental professionals on assignments that are essential to our clients and the communities they serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections to verify compliance with environmental permits, regulatory requirements, and approved project plans.
- Observe, record, and report on site conditions, activities, and any deviations from established standards.
- Prepare clear, accurate inspection documentation, logs, and reports for project teams and clients.
- Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and regulatory stakeholders to support timely resolution of compliance issues.
- Uphold rigorous safety, quality, and ethical standards across every site visit.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in environmental inspection, monitoring, or a closely related field.
- Working knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance documentation practices.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and report non-compliance accurately.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear field reporting.
- Willingness to work on-site in various field conditions throughout Virginia, US.
