About the Role As Employment Counsel at Cresta, you will be the go-to legal partner on workforce matters for a fast-scaling technology company operating across multiple jurisdictions. Working hand-in-hand with People, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and senior leadership, you'll translate complex employment frameworks across the U.S., Europe, and APAC into practical, business-minded guidance that keeps growth moving while keeping risk in check. Key Responsibilities Counsel People and business leaders on hiring, performance, employee relations, investigations, accommodations, leaves, compensation, discipline, and exits. Advise on workforce planning, reorganizations, reductions in force, and cross-border employment, including international hiring, mobility, and remote work. Track employment law developments and support compliance across U.S. federal, state, and local rules, plus European and APAC regulations. Lead or support workplace investigations covering misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, and manage claims, agency charges, and litigation alongside outside counsel. Draft and review offer letters, employment and severance agreements, restrictive covenants, and consulting arrangements; support M&A due diligence and integration. Build employment policies and deliver hands-on training to managers and People Business Partners. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school and active, good-standing membership in at least one U.S. state bar. 6+ years of in-house employment law experience, ideally at a high-growth technology company. Deep command of U.S. employment law and proven experience advising on European employment practices across multiple jurisdictions. Track record running workplace investigations and resolving disputes, with strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage stakeholders in a fast-paced setting. Preferred: familiarity with works councils, collective consultation, GDPR-related employee data matters, and international expansion or M&A support.
