About This Position Based in Dublin, the EMEA International Accountant sits at the heart of Stripe’s finance function on the International Accounting and controllership side. The position helps the wider finance community interpret business results and surface the strongest opportunities for further expansion. Day to day you will construct sophisticated technical accounting and financial reporting frameworks, partner with commercial and finance colleagues as well as external parties and engineering experts, and refine processes so they remain first-rate amid rapid worldwide scaling. Core Duties Oversee the full monthly close cycle for US GAAP ledgers and local statutory books, covering balance-sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, variance reviews and all reporting outputs. Own preparation of financial statements, production of technical accounting papers, support for external audits and presentation of findings to the board of directors. Retain current expertise in US GAAP, IFRS and FRS 102 and draft the required technical accounting memoranda. Work fluidly with Tax, Transfer Pricing, Treasury, Corporate Accounting and Legal colleagues on varied initiatives. Direct outsourced finance providers so that statutory filings and compliance obligations are completed accurately and on schedule. Streamline existing processes and introduce automation to increase efficiency. Track evolving accounting and tax rules in Ireland to safeguard ongoing compliance. Guide the drafting and review of direct and indirect tax returns. What We're Looking For At least eight years’ accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 audit training followed by industry roles. Strong command of enterprise accounting systems such as Oracle or an equivalent platform. Proven involvement in large-scale audits spanning central and local teams, plus tax-filing work. Deep knowledge of US GAAP together with FRS 102 and IFRS. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects successfully. Fluent written and spoken English. Comfort adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-growing setting. Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Hands-on consolidation experience.
