About the Role
South Ridge School is seeking a dedicated classroom educator to deliver high-quality instruction to elementary-age students across grades K–6. This is a 1.0 FTE position that offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $52,138 to $90,816, with placement determined by your education level and years of professional experience. What You'll Do
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons tailored to the developmental needs of K–6 learners
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that supports every student's academic and social-emotional growth
- Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and adjust instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff to address the diverse needs of all learners
- Communicate proactively with families about student progress, goals, and areas for growth
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and building-level initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and instructional documentation as required by district policy
What We're Looking For
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in Elementary Education (K–6) or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to the start date
- Strong command of elementary curriculum, instructional best practices, and age-appropriate classroom management strategies
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning styles and ability levels
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues
- Commitment to data-informed teaching and continuous professional growth
- Experience working with elementary students in a school setting is preferred
