Interview prep

Be ready to walk through a program you built end-to-end: audience, outcomes, content, delivery, and how you measured success. Prepare examples of simplifying complex software for non-technical users and collaborating when product changes mid-rollout.

Fit summary

Strong fit if you enjoy enablement in B2B SaaS and can translate Tekmetric’s shop tools into practical training. Thin public data on culture and pay—validate scope, remote/on-site expectations, and success metrics with the hiring team.

Day in the role

As Educational Program Lead at Tekmetric, a typical day would center on designing and running learning programs for shop users and internal teams around product workflows (shop ops, customer calls, ads, integrations)—not writing product code. Expect curriculum planning, sessions or enablement content, feedback loops with support/product, and measuring whether shops actually adopt the tools.

Role overview (listing rewrite)

Tekmetric is hiring a full-time Educational Program Lead in the United States to build a brand-new bridge between automotive classrooms and the shops that will one day hire their students. This is a ground-floor, zero-to-one role for someone energized by drawing the map rather than following one. About the Role Tomorrow's technicians are learning their craft today in trade schools, technical colleges, and vocational programs nationwide. As Educational Program Lead, your charter is to make Tekmetric the platform those students already know before they step into their first shop. There is no existing playbook here — you'll create the foundation of our education program from the ground up, working hand in hand with our field representative and VP of Business Development. Expect strategy to evolve, priorities to reshuffle, and early assumptions to be rewritten as you learn. Key Responsibilities Open and grow relationships with trade schools, technical colleges, and vocational training programs alongside the field rep and VP of BD. Support outreach, research, and follow-up with program directors, instructors, and school leadership. Co-create curriculum-ready resources — lesson plans, case studies, and lab exercises — with early-adopter instructors. Develop and maintain tutorials, quick-start guides, and sandbox environments that help instructors teach Tekmetric confidently. Arm sales and partnerships teams with a workforce-development narrative for customer conversations. Capture partner success stories and impact data for Marketing, PR, social, and brand use. Collect instructor and student feedback to sharpen messaging, positioning, and program design. Document wins, lessons, and dead ends into a repeatable playbook for national scaling. Qualifications Demonstrated strength in prospecting, outreach, and relationship-building; prior business development experience preferred. Sharp written and verbal communication, especially when the message is still taking shape. A high-ownership mindset that thrives on building from nothing without waiting for direction. Comfort with ambiguity and a readiness to pivot as strategies and priorities shift. Fast learner who is curious, coachable, and asks the right questions. Bonus: background or interest in partnerships, education, workforce development, or the automotive industry. About Tekmetric Founded in Houston in 2017, Tekmetric is the all-in-one, cloud-based platform built by a shop owner to help auto…
