The Tease is hiring an Editorial & Podcast Intern for Fall 2026, an on-site, full-time opportunity in Madison, Dane County for emerging writers who are passionate about the professional beauty world.

About the Role

This Editorial & Podcast Internship places you at the heart of The Tease, a digital home for hair, beauty, and industry news based in Madison, Dane County. Working shoulder to shoulder with a quick-moving, collaborative editorial team, you'll help shape stories and audio content while building a portfolio that showcases real, published work. The position runs from August 24, 2026 through December 31, 2026, with resumes reviewed in July 2026 and offers extended in August 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, draft, and refine editorial pieces covering trends and news across the professional beauty industry
• Support podcast production, from idea development and guest prep to scripting and post-production notes
• Pitch fresh angles and contribute to brainstorming sessions with the editorial team
• Collaborate across the newsroom to keep stories accurate, timely, and engaging
• Grow a body of bylined writing samples and multimedia credits throughout the internship

Qualifications

• A genuine enthusiasm for the professional beauty industry and a love of writing
• Strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn in a fast-paced setting
• Interest in podcasting, audio storytelling, or digital content creation
• Self-motivation, dependability, and the ability to juggle multiple assignments
• Availability for the full term and able to work on-site in Madison, Dane County (this role is not remote)
