Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver clear, interactive lessons covering child development, play-based learning, guidance strategies, and professional practice for early childhood educator candidates Create and update curriculum outlines, learning activities, and assessment tools that align with accepted ECE competencies and regulatory expectations in British Columbia Facilitate discussions, skill demonstrations, and group work so learners can practise observation, documentation, and relationship-building techniques Provide constructive feedback on assignments, practicum reflective journals, and classroom simulations to support each student’s growth Model inclusive, culturally responsive approaches and coach learners on creating inviting environments for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities Collaborate with colleagues to refine course content, share resources, and maintain a supportive learning atmosphere Stay current with emerging research and provincial guidelines related to early learning and educator preparation What We're Looking For Proven experience as an early childhood educator or instructor scored with solid knowledge of child development theories and current ECE practices Ability to design adult learning experiences and unlock understanding for students with varied educational and cultural backgrounds Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting concepts, giving feedback, and collaborating with peers Comfort using documentation, observation methods, and reflective practice as teaching tools Organizational habits that keep lessons, materials, and learner records accurate and up to date Commitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous professional growth in the early childhood field…
