About the Role
As a DOT Delivery Assistant, you will support our delivery team in transporting, unloading, and setting up furniture at customer residences across La Vergne and the surrounding Rutherford County area. Working alongside experienced drivers, you'll play a key part in completing each delivery safely, on schedule, and to the standard our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe loading, transport, and delivery of furniture to customers' homes
- Unload merchandise and complete in-home setup and placement of furniture items
- Help keep deliveries on schedule to consistently meet customer expectations
- Carry out all delivery duties in a safe, courteous, and professional manner
- Represent Haverty Furniture Companies positively during every customer interaction
Qualifications
- Energetic, reliable, and able to thrive as part of a hands-on delivery team
- Comfortable with the physical demands of lifting, moving, and assembling furniture
- Strong attention to detail to ensure merchandise is delivered and set up correctly
- A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to safety and professionalism
- Availability for full-time, on-site work in La Vergne, Rutherford County
