About the Role

As District Fleet Maintenance Manager at WM, you will oversee the day-to-day upkeep of the company's collection and support vehicles across the Canal Winchester district. You'll lead a team of technicians, set maintenance standards, and ensure equipment availability supports uninterrupted service to the communities WM serves.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise fleet maintenance operations, scheduling preventive and corrective repairs to maximize vehicle uptime.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
• Monitor compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and Department of Transportation regulations.
• Manage shop budgets, parts inventory, and vendor relationships to control maintenance costs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing fleet or vehicle maintenance operations, ideally within transportation, logistics, or waste services.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of supervising and developing maintenance teams.
• Working knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair practices.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance standards for commercial fleets.
• Strong organizational, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.
