Role overview (listing rewrite)

Acquia is hiring a Director, Product Marketing, Platform & Drupal to lead go-to-market strategy for our open source Drupal platform across the United States. If you are a Drupal practitioner who thrives at the intersection of strategy and fast-moving execution, this leadership role puts you in the driver's seat. About the Role Reporting to the VP of Platform & Solutions Marketing, you will own end-to-end solution go-to-market for Acquia's platform-as-a-service and Drupal offering. This is the technical-buyer practice — selling to CTOs, CIOs, and CISOs who weigh control, performance, security, and total cost of ownership. You will set positioning, messaging, sales plays, and launches; manage a Product Marketing Manager; and collaborate closely with our Drupal Technical Product Marketer. Authentic, hands-on Drupal experience is essential, because this audience instantly recognizes anyone who isn't a real practitioner. Expect to make data-driven calls, present and demo live, and use AI to work smarter. Key Responsibilities Direct the full GTM motion for the platform and Drupal solution — narrative, positioning, messaging, and sales plays grounded in customer insight and data. Shape the proof-driven story that reaches the Drupal community, technical buyers, and the field, along with the web, sales, and campaign assets that support it. Lead competitive and displacement go-to-market, driving cross-sell across the portfolio while partnering with Competitive & Market Intelligence. Run product launches end to end: own the calendar, set cadence, and keep Product, Sales, Enablement, and Demand Gen shipping on schedule. Build the CTO/CIO/CISO technical-buyer narrative and the TCO tools the field uses to win and defend deals. Partner with Sales Enablement on a value-selling framework (Signal > Value > Action) and prove its adoption in live deals. Manage and develop a Product Marketing Manager and align with the Drupal Evangelist on one unified GTM. Qualifications 7+ years in product marketing, including at least 2 years leading or managing. Demonstrated, hands-on Drupal experience (required) — building, marketing, or working deeply within the community. Strong program management and leadership across complex, cross-functional initiatives. A track record of competitive positioning and displacement wins in technical B2B (CMS, DXP, or infrastructure). A strategist's mindset,…
