About the Role GiveDirectly is preparing for transformational growth that demands world-class recruiting capability at scale. You will lead a seven-person team (managers and individual contributors, primarily in East Africa) to architect sourcing strategies, hiring standards, and workforce planning processes across a fully distributed organization. The core challenge: attracting top talent into mission-driven roles spanning Africa, Europe, and North America, with deep understanding of hiring across multiple countries and operating contexts. Your Responsibilities Build a sourcing function from scratch, including proactive outreach, cultivated networks across development sectors, and warm pipelines for critical roles Lead and mentor recruiting managers and coordinators to function as strategic business partners Oversee Greenhouse ATS: configuration, data quality, reporting, and thoughtful integration of AI recruiting tools Design recruiting standards including structured interviews, calibration practices, and bias-reduction frameworks Lead global workforce planning with Finance and leadership: headcount models, staffing scenarios, and sourcing lead times Coach hiring managers on interview discipline, feedback quality, and shared hiring accountability Define and track recruiting metrics: pipeline velocity, source quality, time-to-fill, hiring manager satisfaction Advise on complex, high-stakes Director-level and technical searches Skills & Qualifications You must have valid work authorization in your location.
