About the Role

As Director, Development at Vesper Energy Development, you will own the full development lifecycle for a portfolio of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. From early-stage origination through construction readiness, and where relevant through transaction and financing close, you will be the single point of accountability for keeping projects on schedule, on budget, and de-risked. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct development execution for a portfolio of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects in U.S. power markets.
• Guide each project from early stage through construction readiness, and through transaction and financing close where applicable.
• Take ownership of project schedules, budgets, and milestone delivery across the development pipeline.
• Identify, track, and mitigate development risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts spanning interconnection, permitting, and other development workstreams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading utility-scale solar and/or energy storage development in U.S. power markets.
• Strong command of project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management within renewable energy development.
• Proven ability to coordinate across interconnection, permitting, and other cross-functional disciplines.
• Familiarity with the path to construction readiness and, ideally, transaction and financing close.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
