About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Partnerships in Salem, you'll walk alongside individuals who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting them in their own homes and throughout the wider community. This is hands-on, relationship-driven work: while caregiving is part of the job, the heart of the role is helping each person pursue a self-directed, independent life on their own terms.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support that helps individuals live independently at home and stay active in their community.
• Assist with personal care and daily living tasks, including meal preparation and food handling.
• Follow and carry out each person's individualized support plan.
• Encourage choice, dignity, and self-direction in every interaction.
• Build trusting, respectful relationships with the people you support.

Qualifications

• A genuine commitment to supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to follow established support plans and caregiving guidelines.
• Ability to work full-time, on-site in Salem, Marion County (this position is not remote).
