About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional at Bancroft, you'll provide person-centered support to adults living in our residential settings. You'll work directly with individuals to help them achieve their personal goals, maintain their independence, and participate fully in their communities.
What You'll Do
- Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household maintenance
- Provide transportation to community activities, employment opportunities, and medical appointments
- Support individuals in developing life skills and pursuing personal interests
- Monitor health and well-being, including medication reminders when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
- Help individuals advocate for themselves and engage with their communities
- Respond to individual needs with patience, respect, and genuine compassion

- Ability to provide respectful, dignified support to adults with varying abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and commitment to consistent, quality care
- Physical capability to assist with mobility and daily tasks
- Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a residential support team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
