About the Role
As a Direct Care Worker with Eminence Home Care, you'll work directly with clients in their private residences, providing essential hands-on care and meaningful companionship. This full-time position focuses on supporting clients' physical well-being, emotional comfort, and personal independence. You'll build trust-based relationships while ensuring your clients feel respected, safe, and heard.
What You'll Do
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation
- Provide mobility and transfer assistance while following proper safety protocols
- Offer emotional support and engage in meaningful conversation to combat isolation and loneliness
- Monitor client health and report changes or concerns to your supervisor
- Help maintain a clean, safe home environment that supports client independence
- Support clients with medication reminders and appointment scheduling as directed
- Document care activities and client interactions accurately
What We're Looking For
- Genuine empathy and patience when working with vulnerable populations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to listen actively
- Physical capability to assist with daily care tasks and client mobility needs
- Reliability and punctuality in a client-centered environment
- Ability to work independently and follow individualized care plans
- High school diploma or equivalent; training and certifications are a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting client privacy
