The anticipated starting salary for Chicago-based candidates is $59,740 per year, with final compensation determined by Audacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce, write, and publish digital news content for WBBM Newsradio's online and social platforms.
• Translate on-air reporting and breaking developments into timely, accurate digital stories.
• Collaborate with reporters, editors, and the Brand Manager to maintain a steady flow of fresh content.
• Optimize headlines and articles for discoverability and audience engagement.
• Monitor local and regional news to keep coverage current throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Experience producing digital content in a newsroom, media, or journalism setting.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a sharp eye for accuracy.
• Comfort working quickly under deadline pressure on breaking news.
• Familiarity with digital publishing tools, social media, and basic SEO practices.
