About the Role

As a Diesel Technician with Ryder in Ypsilanti, Michigan, you'll diagnose, service, and repair diesel-powered trucks and trailers to keep fleets moving. Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and commercial vehicle systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to restore equipment to safe operating condition.
• Document service work accurately and follow Ryder's safety and quality standards.
• Pursue and maintain ASE certifications to advance your technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a mid-level diesel technician or in a comparable commercial vehicle maintenance role.
• Working knowledge of diesel engines, braking, electrical, and related truck systems.
• ASE certifications preferred — Ryder rewards each new ASE certification you earn.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County.

Compensation

• Hourly pay of $26.50, delivered on a weekly basis.
• Certification bonus of $100 for every new ASE certification earned, up to $700.
• Quarterly bonus opportunities, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
