Design Engineer (Seattle, WA)

GDH is hiring a senior Design Engineer in Times Square, King County to lead the engineering and rollout of advanced radio communication networks that keep air traffic control operations running safely and reliably.

About the Role

As a Design Engineer with GDH, you will take ownership of systems engineering for large-scale radio network deployments spanning multiple air traffic control facilities. This senior, full-time, on-site position in Times Square, King County puts you at the center of designing, planning, and directing the implementation of mission-critical communication infrastructure, with a constant focus on meeting rigorous safety, technical, and operational benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end systems engineering for advanced radio network projects across numerous air traffic control sites.
• Develop detailed designs and deployment plans for extensive radio communication infrastructure.
• Coordinate and supervise the installation and rollout of equipment from concept through go-live.
• Verify that every solution conforms to applicable safety standards, technical specifications, and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in systems or design engineering, ideally within radio, telecommunications, or communications infrastructure.
• Proven ability to design, plan, and oversee the deployment of large-scale technical systems.
• Strong working knowledge of safety, regulatory, and operational compliance in mission-critical environments.
• Excellent coordination skills to manage multi-site implementations from planning through completion.
• Availability to work full-time, on-site in Times Square, King County (this role is not remote).
