About the Role

The Design Consultant position is the gateway into a design career at Floor & Decor. Based on the sales floor at our Aspen Hill location in Montgomery County, you will guide shoppers through their projects, helping them choose the right tile, wood, stone, and accessory products to bring their vision to life. This full-time role offers a pay range of $17.75 – $20.90.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and connect with customers on the sales floor to understand the goals of their design projects.
• Lead one-on-one design appointments to uncover each customer's style, needs, and preferences.
• Recommend tile, wood, stone, and accessory products across a wide variety of colors, textures, patterns, and design styles.
• Support customers from initial inspiration through final product selection to ensure a cohesive result.
• Build lasting relationships that encourage repeat visits and confident purchasing decisions.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in interior design, home improvement, and helping customers achieve their goals.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage shoppers and conduct design consultations.
• An eye for color, texture, pattern, and how products work together within a space.
• Comfort working on an active sales floor and the flexibility a full-time, in-person schedule requires.
