As a comparatively young vertical inside Careem, the group is still defining product foundations and must resolve core operational questions while pursuing vigorous growth. The Demand Planning Manager - Groceries based in Jaipur, Rajasthan will turn demand signals into dependable plans that keep availability high and waste low across a diverse assortment. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Create and continuously refine short- and medium-term demand forecasts for grocery items, incorporating sales history, seasonality, promotions and external market indicators Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, category management and commercial teams so replenishment plans match projected volume Track forecast accuracy, diagnose major variances and improve planning models and parameters over time Recommend inventory levels, safety stock and ordering rules that balance availability against holding cost for the grocery range Lead or contribute to regular sales-and-operations planning cycles for the groceries business Analyse demand patterns and packing data to surface insights that inform assortment, promotion and commercial choices Support planning for new product introductions, campaigns and other discontinuous demand events Qualifications Demonstrable experience in demand planning, forecasting or inventory management, preferably within grocery, food retail or consumer packaged goods Strong quantitative ability and hands-on skill with spreadsheets, visualisation tools and ERP or specialised planning systems Sound working knowledge of supply-chain principles and stock-optimisation methods Clear communication style that enables effective partnership with commercial, operations and logistics colleagues Degree-level education or equivalent practical background in supply chain, operations, business analytics or a related field Comfort operating in a high-growth setting where processes and tools are still maturing Why Join Careem Careem Grocery is reshaping everyday access to grocery, pharmacy and retail products.
