Heidelberg Materials Southwest Agg LLC is hiring a Day Shift Plant Maintenance Lead at our aggregates facility in Burnet, Burleson County. This is a full-time position for an experienced maintenance professional ready to lead operations and mentor a team. About the Role As our Plant Maintenance Lead, you'll own the reliability and safety of our production equipment and facility systems. You'll manage daily maintenance schedules, respond to breakdowns, and lead your team to keep our aggregates plant running smoothly during day shift operations. This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise directly impacts uptime and workplace safety. What You'll Do Lead and supervise maintenance personnel on the day shift, assigning work and ensuring quality execution Diagnose equipment issues and perform or oversee repairs on crushers, screens, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and other plant machinery Schedule preventive maintenance tasks and track equipment performance to reduce unplanned downtime Coordinate with operations to minimize disruptions while addressing maintenance needs Maintain maintenance records, parts inventory, and work logs for compliance and analysis Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members follow lockout/tagout and other critical procedures Train team members on equipment operation, maintenance techniques, and safety standards Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and recommend equipment upgrades or modifications What We're Looking For 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in quarrying, aggregates, mining, or heavy manufacturing Proven ability to lead and develop maintenance teams Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills across hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS software Current or ability to obtain OSHA safety certifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred Reliable transportation and willingness to work day shift hours About Heidelberg Materials Southwest Agg LLC Heidelberg Materials is a global leader in building materials.
