The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, and backup/restore strategies. This role blends core DBA tasks with system administration in Windows Server to ensure reliability, scalability, and security across our platforms. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Designs, implements, and maintains moderately complex databases Maintains database dictionaries and integrates systems through database design Administers and tests computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems Monitors performance, analyzes wait stats, tunes queries, manages indexes and statistics Designs, implements, and manages backup, recovery, and high availability/DR (e.g., AGs, log shipping) Performs system administration tasks including patching, scripting, and server configuration Automates routine operations using PowerShell or similar scripting tools Collaborates with teams to support application releases and schema changes Enforces database and system security with proper access controls, encryption, and auditing Troubleshoots and resolves issues across production and non-production environments Creates and maintains clear documentation for procedures, configurations, and best practices Who We're Looking For We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator with experience in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, backup/restore strategies, system administration in Windows Server, and automation using PowerShell.
