This role bridges data science capabilities with organizational strategy, ensuring analytics efforts directly support patient care and operational excellence. Your Responsibilities Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of data scientists and analysts, providing coaching and clear direction to develop their careers Conduct performance reviews and create tailored development plans that strengthen team capabilities and identify growth opportunities Establish and enforce data science standards, best practices, and quality assurance protocols across all projects and deliverables Lead code reviews and mentor team members on software engineering, statistical rigor, and machine learning model governance Spend approximately 50% of your time in active development—designing, building, and deploying machine learning models for clinical applications such as risk stratification, diagnostic support, treatment planning, and resource optimization Evaluate emerging AI technologies and assess feasibility, risks, and implementation strategies for adoption Work with senior leadership to define data science roadmaps and prioritize projects that align with organizational goals Translate clinical and operational requirements into actionable data science initiatives with measurable outcomes Monitor project delivery, manage timelines, and adjust plans to ensure consistent, high-quality results Maintain system integrity and security in compliance with Geisinger's data governance and AI oversight standards What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or related discipline Minimum…
